Brooklyn, NY (July 8, 2026) – Three people were injured late Wednesday night when a collision between two vehicles on Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant sent one of the cars crashing into the front of a commercial building.
According to reports, the two vehicles collided shortly before 11:10 p.m. The force of the impact propelled one of them off the roadway and into the building, where it also struck a 28-year-old pedestrian who was walking nearby. The crash damaged a standpipe, sending water into the building and a neighboring business, and the Department of Buildings later issued a partial vacate order for the first-floor commercial space because of the damage.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and both drivers and the injured pedestrian were transported to an area hospital, where all three were expected to recover. Authorities said both drivers face charges in connection with the crash, including allegations of impaired and reckless driving. Those charges are accusations, and the investigation is ongoing.
