Queens, NY (September 5, 2026) – Six people were injured, one of them critically, after a multi-vehicle rollover crash on the Cross Island Parkway near 154th Street in the Whitestone section of Queens on Saturday night.
According to reports, the collision occurred at around 9:15 p.m. as traffic moved northbound along the parkway. Authorities said one vehicle attempted to move from the left lane into an adjacent lane, lost control, and struck the rear of a second vehicle. The impact reportedly caused the first car to overturn, and two of its occupants were said to have been ejected onto the roadway.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported multiple people to area hospitals. Reports indicate that six people were hurt in total, including one passenger who was listed in critical condition with head injuries, while several others were treated for less serious injuries. Authorities said the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad was looking into what led to the crash, and no arrests had been announced as investigators worked to determine whether speed or other factors played a role.
