Bus Accidents in the Bronx
Bus accidents in the Bronx are a serious safety concern due to the heavy traffic, congested intersections, and constant flow of public transportation in the borough. With thousands of residents relying on MTA buses every day, even a single accident can impact multiple passengers, drivers, and pedestrians.
Common causes of bus accidents include driver error, speeding, mechanical failures, and roadway hazards. In busy areas like University Avenue, the Washington Bridge, and Fordham Road, high traffic volumes increase the likelihood of collisions and sudden stops.
When a bus is involved in an accident, the injuries can range from minor cuts and bruises to more severe trauma, depending on the speed of the crash and the number of passengers on board. Victims often face not only physical injuries but also medical expenses, time away from work, and emotional stress.
Accident victims need to know that they have legal rights. A New York personal accident lawyer can help injured passengers by investigating the incident, determining liability, and pursuing compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages.
