Bronx, NY (August 14, 2025) – On early Monday, August 11, a tragic crash on the Bronx River Parkway claimed the lives of two young men and left one driver facing serious charges.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes near East Gun Hill Road in the Olinville section of the Bronx. Authorities say the crash involved two mopeds and five cars.
According to police, 21-year-old Enrique Martinez and 19-year-old Manuel Amarantepenalo, both residents of the Bronx, were ejected from their mopeds during the crash. They were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Investigators report that Mauricio Neyra Yuyes, 21, of White Plains, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, and driving while impaired.
