Bronx, NY (August 18, 2026) – Nineteen people, including several firefighters, were reported injured after an MTA bus and an FDNY fire truck collided at an intersection in the Longwood section of the Bronx.
According to reports, the crash happened around midday near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Barretto Street. Authorities said an articulated MTA bus carrying more than a dozen passengers and an FDNY truck occupied by firefighters came together in the roadway, with the force of the impact affecting occupants inside both vehicles.
